CUVEE ROSE FROM LAURENT-PERRIER-$79.99 , REASON ENOUGH TO CELEBRATE

LUXURIOUS CUVEE ROSE IS INSPIRED BY THE ELEGANT BOTTLE OF KING HENRY IV

by Dwight Casimere

The Holidays are here and its time to take the gloves off, i.e. indulge yourself and your guests and enjoy a really luxurious glass of Champagne. The ordinary Brut just won't do. This New Year of 2019 calls for something truly special; the Cuvee Rose from Laurent-Perrier ($79.99)
Why quibble over price when you're drinking the single most recognized rose' champagne in the  world. The accolades are not unfounded. First, its presented in an elegant bottle inspired by King Henry IV. It has also been the benchmark for rose' champagne around the world for the past 40 years.

From the moment you open the bottle, its evident that you're in for something special. Made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes harvested from 10 different "cuvees" or villages renowned for their quality from the Montagne de Reims in the North, to the famous Cote de Bouzy to the South, the grapes are meticulously sorted and de-stemmed before undergoing controlled maceration under cold temperatures to extract the champagne's beautiful copper-pink color and allow the aromatic richness of the Pinot Noir grape to shine. Besides its distinctive color, the wine has an intense bouquet of cultivated flowers and the scintillating sensation of fresh-picked wild strawberries, candied cherries and hints of ripe raspberries. The finish is supple on the mouth, with a nice creamy roundness in the mouth. Balanced and refreshing enough to stand on its own as a refreshing aperitif before dinner. it is complex enough to last right through the  Holiday meal with a host of luxurious, unctuous menu items, Roast Pheasant, Turkey with Chestnut Stuffing, Standing Rib Roast with Wild Mushroom Sauce, Creamy Cauliflower "Mashed Potatoes" with Shaved Truffles and Dessert of Pecan Pie or an Old Fashioned Yule Log with Raspberry Puree and freshly whipped cream. For a truly romantic dinner for two, finish off a dinner of Duck L'Orange with a dessert Souffle and a glass of Cuvee Rose from Laurent-Perrier. Its sure to  get the Yule fires going without benefit of  match or kindling!
