SOUTH BEACH, MIAMI--The 10th annual Amstel Light Burger Bash presented by Schweid and Sons and hosted by Rachel Ray showed off the culinary wizardry of 25 of the nation's top burger masters and provided a tasting thrill ride for a record-setting crowd at the huge tent on the white sand beach behind the Ritz-Carlton South Beach. Chefs competed for prizes in the Amstel Light People's choice Award, Red Robin;s Best of the Bash Contest and Schweid and Sons Very Best Burger Award.
Over at the famed Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Wine Spectator presented the Best of the Best sponsored by Bank of America, a showcase for the best chef in the country, paired with top-rated wines as determined by WS. Proprietors and winemakers from the top estates of the world were personally on hand to pour their specialties, many from elaborate glass decanters, alongside delicacies from the nation's top chefs, many of them laced with caviar, foie gras and truffles. It was a gourmand's delight.
